If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to organize your finances, here are three tips from Robert Laura’s guide, How To Organize Your Finances In 10 Simple Steps available at EFinancialOrganizer and for kindle at Amazon
Tip 1: Are you a morning or evening person? When are you at your highest level of activity? You can reduce some of the anxiety and exhaustion that can accompany bill paying if you pay them during your high-energy time instead of when you’re tired and unmotivated.
Tip 2: If you receive e-statements, set up a separate e-mail account to receive them. This will ensure they don’t get lost or overlooked among your personal e-mails or spam. Both Yahoo and Google offer free e-mail accounts.
Tip 3: Establish regular days and times to pay your bills. Set 3 to 4 days per month when you review your bills. Try the 5th, 15th, and 25th of the month as a starting.
